Creating Intuitive Content with Tarot

As someone who is constantly consuming and creating content, it’s not hard for me to get kinda overwhelmed by it all. There are so many things I want to make and so many ideas bouncing around in my head, but I can’t possibly create them all. Besides, marketing is all about structure and focus, and while creating for clients is easy to keep on track (they literally tell you what the focus is), it can be harder when it comes to your own brand.

When you own a brand, it’s connected to you. It doesn’t house you and it can’t capture all that you are, but it is still tied to you and your journey. This means that creating content in alignment with your brand can be effortless when you tap into your intuition and listen to what you’re supposed to be saying to your audience.

In moments where my mind is overwhelmed with ideas and I need to tune back into the focused directive that my brand has, I turn to tarot. I’ve been learning to read tarot for the last 5 years or so, and have found that the cards can be an amazing tool for connecting with my higher self. There have been many readings where I’d be brought to tears of relief or just enveloped in a warm fuzzy feeling, thanking the Universe for bringing me clarity or direction or comfort. It’s been a very emotional journey, but such a beautiful one as well, and I hope that even if you’re a tarot newbie, you’ll be able to find that same connection that I have.

My brand directive or content creation readings started the way most of my personal readings do: I shuffle the deck while asking my question, I stop shuffling when it feels right and pull a card, and after sitting with the card for a bit, I ask another question or build on the previous one if there’s confusion there. Tarot has always been a very intuitive practice for me, pulling cards as it feels right, and only using spreads for specific purposes. But as I lean more into structure, it’s been really fun to find spreads that relate to my situations. My favorite way to work with tarot spreads has been with the Labyrinthos app or the collections made by Emerald Lotus and 3am Tarot.

Questions to ask yourself this week:
How can you use self-reflection to improve your creative work?
What hopes and dreams can guide your creative vision?

Next week, paid subscribers on Substack will receive the spread that I made for creating content with tarot, as we shift our focus to action and movement in preparation for the First Quarter Moon. For this week though, we enjoy the energy of a new concept and tap into our creativity and passion, in alignment with the New Moon on August 4th. Free subscribers, I’ll see you next New Moon with another topic for us to ponder together.

Thank you for reading, and I look forward to our journey this month!
